My Goals for the 2018-2019 School Year

Minimum Goal: I will help my students grow by at least one grade level by:

  • Participating in a Twitter Chat once a month
  • Reading and responding to 1 article or post per week

Dream Goal: I will pass on what I have learned to the education community and become a leader in my field by:
  • ​Blogging about my experiences with going gradeless and share with PLN communities once per quarter
  • Presenting publicly about my experiences with going gradeless once this year
​​Some Tips on Setting Goals:
  • Make each goal a S.M.A.R.T. goal
    • We need to be "smart" about goal setting! SMART Goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Sensitive.
  • Set a "dream" goal as well as a minimum goal
    • A friend of mine recently reflected on her Iron Man competition by stating the outcome of each event along with her goal, but also included a "dream goal" section. I thought this was so interesting and motivational to make two; it is important to note that the "dream" goal is still a SMART goal (see above criteria), particularly with respect to being attainable.
